Neighborhood Pride Section

The primary responsibility of the Neighborhood Pride Program is to work directly with neighborhood organizations to enhance the environment of older neighborhoods in the Community Development Block Grant Target Area.

These organizations consist of:

• Citizens Action Council
• La Place Des Creoles
• McComb-Veazey
• Neighborhood Improvement & Development Corporation
• Northside Alliance for Progress

SERVICES PROVIDED BY NEIGHBORHOOD PRIDE INCLUDE:

• Painting Assistance (house preparation, paint supplies)
• Storm Door Installation
• Window Screen Installation
• Fire Safety Equipment (smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers)
• Handrail Installation
• Exterior Door Installation
• Dead Bolt Installation
• Street Address Numbering
• Volunteer Recruitment
• Referrals
